patriotism and paint choices

I've always thought of myself as having an eye for color, but now I'm not so sure. Based on the chips in the store, I thought these were all slight variations of yellow. Help!!! Our room is neon and frightening at the moment, and we may just have to go with a beige.

So are you going for yellow or Green? And what kind of yellow or green--perky? muted? I'm leaning towards the second from the left.

I love it that Luke remembers his photo expedition with Nick.

And that he loves America. He should.

LOVE seeing Charlie's rolls! Bring on more naked baby pictures! Isn't it amazing the destruction of a room that can occur in a short period of time?

But it seems like Luke was hinting around at wanting more of a starring role...

Kate, I think you have that husky, coffee breath voice Elizabeth noted in her comments on the previous post down just right. I vote for the second yellow from the right when looking at the computer. The second fromthe left is kind of bright, Betty. The trouble we've had with paint chips (we now have something like six gallons of oops paint in our basement) is that the light in your room always adds a different dimension. I wanted a nice mossy green in our bedroom but the yellowy artificial light made me feel sea sick at night, so we went with such a pale green its almost yellow. We had a color called "canvas" in our house in Libertyville which was almost offwhite but in the small room it read as butter yellow.

We went with an entirely new color, but it's closest to the second sample from the right. The second from the left is a true yellow, which is what I wanted, but it was just too much! Half of our room turns pink (the sunlit half) and the other half comes out green... it makes things difficult. Anyway, John picked a great color that was way paler than what I had pictured, but on the whole room it comes off as buttery yellow... perfect!

Isn't 'husky mildly amused coffee breath voice' really just 'mom voice'?
